Comments: My father, William S. Slattery of Brockton, was a fan of Rocky Marciano (also from Brockton) and would travel to see him fight. At this bout, Rocky became World Heavyweight Champion. The photo was taken by Stanley A. Baum of Brockton, possibly for the newspaper, "Brockton Enterprise-Times."
