"Passport Photo of Grandparents"
When:
11 / / 1931
Where:

Who:
Clara Louise Kydd (King), William Lydney Kydd
This passport photo is identified as William Kydd and wife. It is interesting that he (a naturalized citizen) is identified by name, but his wife who was from a family at least four generations in this country was not designated by name. These are my maternal grandparents. My grandfather came to this country as a whaler in the early 1900s from Bequia in the British West Indies. He married my grandmother in 1907. Her family, as far as we can determine: her grandmother was from Anacostia in Washington D.C. around 1846. Her father Isaiah King was in the civil War. He was born in New Bedford.

"The Austin Family"

Milton

The photo is important because my father Albert Austin is 2nd to the youngest here, and because my cousin, Stuart McEntees, lives in town and that is his mother Barbara. Halo around daughter to far left must be a result of a photo enhancement.
